Boy hurt in Palestinian rocket attack on Israeli town

An Israeli boy was seriously injured by a Palestinian rocket attack Monday in the southern town of Sderot, a hospital official said.

The boy, 10, suffered a serious wound to his shoulder and was rushed into surgery, said Lea Malul, a spokeswoman for Barzilai Hospital in the town of Ashkelon. The Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom said the boy's arm had been partially severed.
